Do Blondes Really Have More Fun?

Have you ever wanted to know if there is any truth to the saying, "Blondes have more fun?"

The answer is yes. This does, however, depend on what you consider "Fun." If getting more attention is your idea of a good time, then one of the ways you achieve that is having blonde hair.

Maybe you have always been a blonde and you would not know the difference. Or maybe you have stood by and watched your blonde colleagues turn more heads. But there is defiantly some truth to the fact that blondes do get more attention.

Blondes attract more attention, because their lighter hair color stands out more then brown hair does. It is all a matter of common sense really. If you are in a room full of people, the ladies with the blonde hair are easier to spot out, especially the ones with big hair. That really stands true for a lot of things. The ladies with brighter or more revealing cloths also stand out more. Or the louder and more obnoxious "Ladies" tend to get the spotlight.

But getting more attention does not always have its perks.

There also is the whole "Dumb blonde" stigma that all of us blondes fall victim to. Being a blonde most of my life, I have had to endure countless numbers of dumb blonde jokes. My friends and family have poked fun of me with blonde jokes since I can remember. I always blamed it on my slight resemblance to Suzanne Somers.

I have even experimented with darker hair color a couple of times. Being a hairstylist, I knew just what to do to keep it looking good. I did like the color, but every time I looked in the mirror I felt like I was in a Halloween costume I couldn't get out of. It just was not me. So I stay blonde, because its who I am, and just deal with the dumb blonde jokes.
