More and more men today are dying their Hair. It's no wonder with today's competitive job market that men want to stay younger looking. However lots of men can be hesitant about dying their hair, because they're afraid that it won't look natural and their friends might poke fun of them. DON'T color your hair too dark. You would think the natural course of action when covering grey hair is to dye it back to the color it was before it turned grey. However as skin ages it looses it's pigment as well as the hair does and dying it back to its original shade could look very unnatural and even a little strange.
DO choose a shade that complements your skin tone. Lighter shades work better for grey coverage and you will not see the roots coming in so much. To get an idea of what you really want, you can look at pictures of other people that look like you in magazines.
DON'T color your hair too red. Red hair looks sexy on women, but unless you were a natural redhead your whole life until now, stay away from the red. Red hair color comes out too Fancy looking for most guys. Choosing a color with more neutral tones in it will look more natural.
DO leave some of your natural grey in. A less drastic approach is to leave some of the grey in your hair. The hair color can be "Combed" through the hair. Leave more grey hair around the sides and temples. This method will decrease the appearance of grey hair, but it will not remove all of it. This is also low maintenance, because you will not see much of an outgrowth as your hair grows in.
DO color your facial hair to match the hair on your head. Dying your facial hair will pull the whole look together. This may include eyebrows, beard, mustache, and sideburns.
DO get some shampoo for color treated hair. Shampoo for color treated hair will preserve your color and help prevent fading. You want to protect your investment.
